Porthtowan is a small picturesque village nestled between a beautiful beach and National Trust land, Porthtowan
is renowned for world class waves on its blue flag beach and has dramatic coastal and inland National Trust
walks.
Porthtowan village has all the facilities one needs. Within a 10 minute walk of the
property there is a convenience store, post office with ATM cash machine, Fish &
Chip take away, surf shop, surf schools, surf hire, ice cream shop, a bucket and
spade shop, a beach café, a pub and the Blue Bar on the beach which is a popular
meeting place both for surfers and families. There is an excellent toddler and
children’s play park in the sand dunes and all eateries in Porthtowan welcome
children.
Being only 3 miles from the A30, we are excellently placed as a base for further
exploration of the delights of Cornwall. Truro and its Cathedral is 8 miles away, St Ives with its harbour, quaint
shops, narrow streets and Tate Art Gallery is less than 20 miles. Penzance, St Michael's Mount and the famous
village of Mousehole are but 22 miles. Falmouth, with the largest natural harbour in the country and Pendennis
Castle overlooking, is 13 miles to the South, whilst Land's End, the Minack Theatre is a fairly easy 30 mile drive.
The Eden project just outside St Austell is approx. 26 miles to the east.
The apartment is located 2 minutes from bus route to many of these areas.
